Playing and saving
Guest progress, PIO, purchases, lessons and settings are saved in your browser. Clearing site data or using another device can remove or separate this progress. Guest progress does not transfer into an account.
For an account, Supabase handles your verified email, Google sign-in when chosen, and authentication sessions. We use a verified account identifier to save your nickname, completed levels, times, PIO transactions and equipped items. We need these records to provide your account and game features. Session cookies keep you signed in; they are separate from optional analytics.
What other players see
The leaderboard shows your nickname, completed ranked time and position. It does not show your email or account identifier. Choose a nickname that does not reveal personal information.
Fair play and security
The game server validates completed runs and records review decisions to protect rankings and coin balances. Administrators can review game results and activity. We use short-lived, rotating network-address digests to limit abusive requests. Our application does not keep raw IP addresses in its analytics tables. Hosting and authentication providers may process connection and security logs under their own policies.
Optional visit and campaign statistics
Only after you choose Allow analytics, the site uses a random browser identifier to measure visits, active time, sign-in outcomes and level starts or clears. Campaign labels such as facebook / organic / launch help us understand which link brought visitors. We discard unrecognised characters, email-like values and full referral URLs. These statistics may be linked to your account identifier when you are signed in.
There is no Meta advertising pixel in this release. Browser-reported clears are kept separate from server-verified saves. Analytics identifiers and visit records are retained for up to 90 days; expiry cleanup runs as the service receives requests. Use Privacy choices at any time to stop future collection and remove the analytics identifier from this browser. This does not delete already received records; contact us to request their deletion.
Storage and service providers
Account progress, times and PIO records remain while your account is active and until a verified deletion request is processed. Security rate-limit records expire after a few minutes. The application is hosted using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare services, with Supabase for account authentication. Google is involved when you choose Google sign-in. Sign-in email uses the configured email delivery service. Provider processing may occur outside your country; see the providers’ privacy information for their processing and transfer arrangements.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your nickname in Player account. Signed-in players can download their game data. To request deletion or correction, or ask about access, objections or other data rights, email contact@piratepio.com from your account email. We may verify account ownership; never send passwords or sign-in links. Deletion removes the associated public ranking and account progress. Backups, if retained by providers, may expire on their own schedules.
If local rules require parental permission for your account, involve a parent or guardian before registering. Please contact us if a child’s account needs attention. You may also contact your local data protection authority about a privacy concern.
